Software Engineer

Built and owned high-scale enterprise apps

  • Worked across Java Spring Boot, Python FastAPI, React/Next.js, MySQL, and Elasticsearch/ELK, delivering multiple internal products end-to-end (Data Modelling + API + UI + prod support).
  • Built and maintained production REST APIs in Spring Boot and FastAPI with scalable patterns like pagination/filtering, stable error contracts, and performance-aware payload design for large datasets.
  • Owned a key part of a high-scale workflow to identify sensitive data & allow its remediation; ensured the system stays usable even when record counts jump from ~200k → 2M+.
  • Built daily batch + scheduled processes (Spring Boot) to process large datasets, check SLA/SLO dates, and send out time-sensitive notifications; also ran cleanup and sync operations aligned with the larger SDM process, using Control-M for scheduling/operationalizing batch workflows
  • Performance-focused work: optimized DB access patterns for scale (reduced heavy queries & avoided unnecessary round trips) along with using indexes so both UI and batch jobs stay reliable under load.
  • Built a GenAI app for leadership using BERTopic + Google Gemini to evaluate employee themes & sentiment. Built it with React + FastAPI.
  • Implemented GenAI guardrails: PII filtering, pre-defined prompt constraints and maintained an eval set of historical examples to check outputs.
  • Integrated downstream data from enterprise systems (Slack, Salesforce, and ServiceNow) via ETL outputs, and built the normalized layer + dashboard experience on top.
  • Worked with Spring Security + OAuth2/OIDC and ForgeRock to enforce authenticated access and role-based behavior across apps.
  • Deployed and maintained applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift using Helm, with source control & reviews in GitLab.
  • Helped with MI investigations & production debugging; diagnosed and fixed a production issue like one related to Box integration with one of our apps, using Elastic logs.

  • Owned & led early data modeling + system architecture work and deployed to AWS (ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, Cognito).
  • Participated in pitches and product brainstorming; helped translate customer feedback into roadmap and shipped features quickly.
  • Helped grow a 10,000+ Discord feedback community by offering free educational content and using that feedback loop to iterate fast (edtech + HR products).
