Software Engineer
I'm a software engineer with 4 years of experience building enterprise systems. I enjoy the craft of it — designing clean APIs, debugging distributed systems, and that satisfying moment when a performance optimization clicks into place. I'm eternally curious, a little obsessive when it comes to problems, and always exploring something new.
I like building things. If it wasn't software, I'd probably be designing buildings. Or starting a business. Engineering just happened to be the version of building that let me be endlessly creative while solving real problems.
How I Work
- When requirements are fuzzy, I slow down and brainstorm with the team before jumping into code.
- I write docs and diagrams for any non-trivial system. (I'm annoying like that.)
- I'm comfortable owning production incidents and postmortems — if anything, I prefer having ownership.
Beyond Code
When I'm not at my desk, I'm usually out on a trail, behind a camera filming something, or stopping to stare at interesting architecture. The last one probably explains the engineering.
